Silver-bearing ore was already being mined on the Silberberg at the end of the 18th century. A special feature of this historical use is the limestone grassland on the Silberberg today, where gentian and orchid plants thrive. The Silberberg was declared a nature reserve as early as 1937. Due to its special natural beauty, we ask you to take particular care when hiking on this TERRA.track. An access path from the Lorenkamp hiking parking lot takes you to the approximately 6 km long hiking suggestion
