Schneiders Garten

Wallenhorst

Upon entering the house garden, the rose "New Dawn" is the first thing that catches the eye, surrounded by a blue-flowering clematis.
The path continues past the bright orange rose "Sahara" and the corkscrew hazel into the lower rose and geranium garden, which is framed by boxwood.
One step further on, the garden opens up and the abundance of different perennials and shrubs becomes visible.
A small stream flows into the water lily pond, where hemerocallis, ligularia, table, show and shieldleaf bloom at the edge. A bridge leads to the shade garden with many different hostas and ferns.
A pavilion under the large, colorful ash maple invites you to linger. Hidden away is a snack garden with late-bearing raspberries, apples, currants and gooseberries. A small herb bed adjoins it.
Vine tomatoes and cucumbers thrive in the greenhouse. The garden is dominated by the sunny terrace bed, which is planted with many varieties of phlox, delphiniums, roses and other perennials. Sculptures, stone troughs and Art Nouveau trellises give the garden a special touch.
