Along romantic moats and along small paths, visitors to the park at Gravenhorst Monastery either reach the lovingly designed art garden or the surrounding woods. The park has a number of entertaining and contemplative "attractions", such as a labyrinth, a willow tube, a small playground or changing exhibits from the Kunsthaus. But even without taking advantage of these offers, a walk through the well-kept grounds is impressive. Here and there, stone witnesses and mementos recall monastery days, and the romantic monastery wall is a popular photo spot. The park is a popular entry and exit point for many hikers and cyclists, as the tour can be excellently combined with a visit to the DA Kunsthaus, a delicious piece of cake at Café Klara or a tasty meal at the Greek restaurant.
The DA Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst offers guided tours and visits of the monastery and the monastery garden on request.
