Beschreibung:

From the information stand at the car park of St. Agatha's Church, the M6 hiking trail first leads in a southerly direction, past the multi-generational playground and the historic mill pond. Via Kardinal-von-Galen-Straße and Teichstraße, the route runs along the Köllbach stream to the wooden bridge, where the ascent over the traditional Schlangenpättken to Heinrichshöhe begins. There, benches invite you to take your first rest; a fossilised specimen of a signet tree from the Carboniferous period is one of the geological features. A narrow path leads on to Bergstraße and past the new cemetery to Zum Nordschacht road. After crossing the road, the trail leads through a forest path to Schwarze Straße and through a small dip to the Am Waldschlösschen path. The route continues through a quiet section of forest to the Mettinger Grenze and then to Schniederbergstraße. A grassy path leads into the wooded Fahlbach valley in front of the former Caesar house. The path climbs past an old quarry to the Lärchenweg, where there are further opportunities to rest.
The route continues along the Lärchenweg up to the Schniederberg and on into the idyllic Ölmühlental valley. After crossing the Ölmühlenweg, the route follows a natural path along the valley through the mountain forest until you reach the Ölmühlenweg again. From there, the trail leads to Schwarze Straße and continues along a dirt track to Grüner Weg. A detour to the viewpoint with a bench offers a wide view over Mettingen. A short footpath takes you to Bergstraße and finally back to the starting point via Bürgermeister-Meyer-Straße.
