Beschreibung:
- From the information stand at the market, the path first leads left into Bischofstraße. Keep left again at the small procession house and then cross Schwarze Straße. The route continues along the cul-de-sac of the same name to the Franz-Tombrink-Hütte.
- There, turn left towards Schniederbergstraße, cross it and follow the Lager Weg. After about 100 metres, continue left past a farmstead along a forest edge path until you reach Schniederbergstraße again. Cross the road and then follow the cycle path uphill to the right. After about 100 metres, cross the road again and walk along a meadow into a wooded area that leads directly into the quiet Fahlbach valley.
- In the Fahlbach valley, the path turns left at the refuge. The slightly ascending Fahlbachweg leads to the junction with the Lärchenweg. From there, continue left and, directly behind a seating area, a narrow path leads along a mountain meadow through the forest, past the old quarry, up to Schniederbergstraße.
- At this point, follow the cycle path to the left for around 500 metres to the junction with Ölmühlenweg. This leads into the idyllic Ölmühlental valley. Where the steeply sloping Lärchenweg meets the Ölmühlenweg, the path branches off to the right into the Leyschulten Lieth - a wooded side valley that leads up to the Schlangenpättken.
- Follow the transverse Schlangenpättken to the left uphill to Schwarze Straße, which you cross. Pass the crossroads to reach Zum Nordschacht, which you also cross. The path continues along the Neuer Friedhof cemetery onto Bergstraße.
- About 150 metres after the Hubertushöhe road, a footpath branches off to Heinrichshöhe. There, benches invite you to linger, and a fossilised horsetail from the Carboniferous period - around 300 million years old - can be discovered.
- From this hill, the trail leads back down into the Köllbach valley. The trail then follows the Köllbach stream back to the starting point at the information stand.
